Dr. Husnu Erkmen

Prof. Dr. Hüsnü Erkmen, a distinguished Psychiatrist with over 30 years of experience, leads the charge in providing exceptional mental health care. Born in 1952 in Elazığ, Prof. Dr. Erkmen completed his primary and secondary education at TED Ankara University, graduating from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 1978. He furthered his expertise through training in the Department of Psychiatry, becoming a specialist in 1983. Throughout his illustrious career, Prof. Dr. Erkmen undertook various roles, including heading the Department of Psychiatry at Bakırköy Mental and Neurological Diseases Hospital and founding the Neurosis Clinic. His leadership extended to the training of numerous psychiatry residents, neurology specialists, and general medicine specialists. Post-retirement in 2011, he continued his academic pursuits as a professor at Uskudar University. Prof. Dr. Erkmen's contributions extend beyond clinical practice, with over 100 published papers in national and international journals. He is a member of several esteemed associations, including the Turkish Psychiatric Association, Turkish Neuropsychiatry Association, Group Psychotherapies Association, Biological Psychiatry Association, and the American Psychiatric Association.
