Dr. José Calabuig

Dr. Jose Calabuig, a distinguished cardiology specialist with over 25 years of experience, currently serves as the Director of the Interventional Cardiology Division at the Clínica Universidad de Navarra in Pamplona, Spain. Accredited by the SEC, Dr. Calabuig has dedicated his career to the field of cardiology, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and diligence in fulfilling his responsibilities. His educational journey began at the University of Valencia, where he received his fundamental medical education, followed by a Ph.D. in medicine and surgery from the University of Navarra clinic. Dr. Calabuig further specialized in interventional cardiology at the same institution. Throughout his professional career, Dr. Jose Calabuig has been at the forefront of cardiology advancements. His extensive experience includes serving as a Cardiology consultant at the University of Navarra clinic since 1993 and later being appointed as the Head of the Interventional Cardiology Unit in 2001. Concurrently, he has held the position of adjunct professor of cardiology at the University of Navarra clinic since 1992. Dr. Calabuig is affiliated with esteemed organizations such as the Spanish Community of Cardiology and the European Society of Cardiology's Hemodynamic and Interventional Cardiology Bureau. Dr. Calabuig's contributions extend beyond clinical practice, as evidenced by his publication of approximately 60 articles on coronary vulnerable plaque markers in both national and international journals.
