Dr. Krzysztof Czerkasow
Dr. Krzysztof Czerkasow stands as a distinguished orthopedic surgeon in Poland, bringing an impressive 42 years of expertise in the realms of sports medicine and rehabilitation therapies. Graduating with a medical degree from Wroclaw University, he pursued specialization in orthopedics, conducting research training at Wroclaw University and later completing a fellowship in prosthetic procedures in England at the William Harvey Institute. Dr. Czerkasow embarked on his professional journey as an intern orthopedic specialist at Canterbury Hospital, gaining invaluable experience before moving on to serve as a consultant orthopedic surgeon at Margate Hospital. He further honed his skills as a pediatric orthopedic surgeon in England. Returning to Poland, Dr. Czerkasow assumed the role of a senior orthopedic surgeon at Wroclaw University Hospital before joining KCM Clinic. Currently heading the Orthopedics & Traumatology Unit at KCM Clinic, he has played a pioneering role, introducing advanced hip and knee replacement procedures in the country. Notably, he holds the distinction of being the first orthopedic specialist at KCM to successfully perform hip and knee replacement surgeries. His career is marked by over 5,000 accomplished joint replacement surgeries, including 3,500 hip replacements and 1,500 knee replacements. As a member of prestigious associations like the Polish Orthopedic Association and the European Orthopedic & Traumatology Society, Dr. Czerkasow contributes significantly to the field and has shared his expertise through international conferences and publications on orthopedic interventions. His commitment to advancing orthopedic knowledge is evident through seminars on prosthetic procedures conducted at KCM Clinic.
