Dr. Manchima Makornwattana, an accomplished ophthalmologist, currently holds the position of associate professor at Bumrungrad International Hospital in Thailand. Specializing in glaucoma, femtosecond laser cataract surgery, and intraocular lens implantation, Dr. Makornwattana has garnered extensive expertise in her field. She obtained her medical degree from Chulalongkorn University's Faculty of Medicine in 1995 and earned certification from The Thai Board of Ophthalmology in 2001. Pursuing further excellence, she completed fellowships in the USA, including clinical glaucoma surgery at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary in 2002, where she also conducted glaucoma research in 2003. Dr. Makornwattana served as an associate professor at Thammasat University, holding the position of Chief of the Glaucoma Unit in the Department of Ophthalmology. Currently, she contributes her wealth of experience as a senior ophthalmologist at Bumrungrad International Hospital. Actively involved in professional organizations, Dr. Manchima is a member of the Thai Glaucoma Society and the Executive Committee of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists of Thailand.
