Dr. Michael Van Kampen stands as a distinguished and internationally recognized radio-oncologist in Germany, bringing over 32 years of extensive experience to his esteemed career. His reputation for excellence is underscored by his successful treatment of numerous patients grappling with various cancers, including breast cancer, lung cancer, kidney cancer, and endometrial cancer. Currently, Dr. Michael Van Kampen assumes the pivotal role of Head of the Radiation Oncology Center at Nordwest Hospital. His specialization encompasses a range of advanced techniques such as intensity-modulated radiation therapy, stereotactic radiosurgery, stereotaxic, IORT, and combined therapy. Dr. Van Kampen's journey in the field began as an assistant doctor at Nuremberg North Clinic, where he contributed to the Radiation Therapy and Radiological Diagnostics departments until 1993. Following this, he continued to enhance his expertise as an assistant doctor at Heidelberg University Hospital Radiology Clinic. Presently, Dr. Van Kampen serves as the Chief Physician at the Nordwest Radiological Oncology Clinic, overseeing approximately 15,000 treatment procedures annually. Beyond his clinical responsibilities, he holds key positions as a Hess arbitration expert and Chairman of the Board in the Department of Radiation Therapy Expert Committee at the State Medical Association. Additionally, he serves as a Federal Medical Association Specialist examiner for the State Medical Association of Hesse, highlighting his commitment to upholding quality standards in radiation therapy. Dr. Michael Van Kampen's multifaceted contributions reflect his dedication to advancing oncological care and ensuring the highest standards of quality assurance in the field.
