Dr. Raúl F. Abella

Dr. Raúl F. Abella is a highly esteemed cardiovascular surgeon in Spain, boasting an impressive career spanning over 25 years. His specialization lies in pediatric cardiovascular surgery, where he focuses on treating congenital heart diseases in children. Proficient in English, Spanish, Catalan, and Italian, Dr. Abella is known for his dedication to providing quality care to young patients with heart conditions. Graduating as a medical doctor from La Sapienza University in Italy in 1986, Dr. Abella furthered his expertise with a degree in the Morphology of Congenital Heart Disease from the Ministry of Public Health and the Institute of Cardiology and Cardiovascular Surgery in 1987. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with various organizations and participated in more than 56 aid programs, extending cardiovascular surgeries to remote areas globally. Currently, he holds the position of the head of the Barcelona International Heart Centre at Dexeus University Hospital.
