Dr. Salvador Martin Algarra, a distinguished Medical Oncologist at Clínica Universidad de Navarra, also holds the position of Professor of Oncology at the Medical School of the University of Navarra in Pamplona, Spain. With an illustrious career, he obtained his Doctorate in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Navarra in 1985, following which he specialized in Medical Oncology in 1991. His current focus lies in the therapeutic development of immunotherapy and targeted therapies, particularly in melanoma, sarcoma, and rare tumors. Dr. Martin Algarra is a founding member and the current President of the Spanish Melanoma Group (GEM). Engaged in extensive research, he has participated in 48 research projects and acted as the Leading Investigator for 43 of them, with a primary interest in melanoma and sarcomas of unknown origin. As an educator, Dr. Martin Algarra imparts his knowledge through teaching responsibilities at the University of Navarra Faculty of Medicine, contributing significantly to undergraduate and graduate education in Medical Oncology.
