Dr. Thomas Bachleitner-Hofmann

Dr. Thomas Bachleitner-Hofmann is at the forefront of translational surgical oncology, with a primary research focus on developing strategies to enhance the response to perioperative systemic chemotherapy and immunotherapy for patients with metastatic disease eligible for curative cancer surgery. His expertise extends to various malignancies, including colorectal, appendiceal, gastric, ovarian, and primary peritoneal surface cancers. Additionally, his clinical research endeavors aim to improve surgical therapy for patients with peritoneal surface malignancies, along with exploring the applications of minimally invasive and robotic surgery for colorectal cancer patients.
