Dr. Marc Schmidt-Supprian is a distinguished hematologist and immunologist with over 20 years of experience diagnosing and treating complex blood disorders and immune system conditions. He is the Head of the Hematology Center at Rechts der Isar Hospital in Munich, Germany. He is also a professor at the Technical University of Munich, where he leads the Institute for Experimental Hematology.
Dr. Schmidt-Supprian began his academic journey studying chemistry and biochemistry at the Universities of Würzburg and Tübingen and Trinity College Dublin. He earned his doctorate in 2003 under the guidance of Professor Klaus Rajewsky at the University of Cologne and Harvard Medical School. In late 2007, he established a prestigious DFG Emmy Noether research group at the Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry and later became a Tenure Track Professor at the Technical University of Munich in 2014.
