Prof. Dr. Mi Seung Shin
Prof. Dr. Mi Seung Shin stands as a distinguished cardiologist in Korea, renowned for her proficiency in treating conditions such as myocardial infarction, heart valve diseases, and angina. With over 15 years of dedicated service, Dr. Shin currently serves at Gachon University Gil Medical Center. Her educational journey includes earning an MD degree in 1992, a Master's degree in 1998, and a doctorate in 2001, all from the faculty of medicine at Ehwa Women University. Dr. Mi Seung Shin embarked on her professional career in 1992, starting as an intern and completing her residency at Ehwa Women University. Over the years, she has gained diverse experiences, including a traineeship in the cardiology department of Severance Hospital at Yonsei University and a research fellowship at the US Cleveland Cardiology Clinic in 2004. In 2012, she assumed the role of a professor of cardiology at Gachon University Gil Medical Center, marking the beginning of her impactful contributions. Subsequently, she earned promotions, becoming the director of the cardiology department and the echocardiography department at Gachon University Gil Medical Center in 2013. Currently, since 2013, Prof. Dr. Mi Seung Shin holds the position of the director of the cardiovascular division at Gachon University Gil Medical Center. Her wealth of experience and leadership positions underscore her commitment to cardiovascular care and academic excellence.
