Prof. Dr. Peter Vajkoczy

• Dr. Peter graduated with a medical degree from Ludwig Maximilian University in 1988; • He completed his PhD thesis at the Institute for Surgical Research, University Hospital Grosshadern, University of Munich from 1992 to 1996; • In 2001, he finished his Residency at the Mannheim University Hospital, Department of Neurosurgery; • Dr. Peter obtained his Habilitation in Neurosurgery from Mannheim University Hospital, University of Heidelberg in 2001.

• Prof. Dr. Peter Vajkoczy received the Aesculap Research Award from EANS in 1998 as a young neurosurgeon; • He was also honored with the Pharmacia & Upjohn Young Investigator Award and Travel Award from the American Association of Cancer Research in the same year; • In 2001, he achieved the Hermann Rein Prize from the German Association for Microcirculation and Vascular Biology, along with the Hemedex Pioneer Investigator Award; • 2002 brought another accolade with a Research Award from the German Academy of Neurosurgery; • Prof. Dr. Vajkoczy received the Wolfgang-Hoffmeister-Award in 2003 from the medical faculty Mannheim; • The same year, he was recognized as a young neuro specialist by the World Federation of Neurosurgical Organizations; • In 2015, he was honored with the Viking Lecture Award from the Scandinavian Course of Neurosurgery; • Prof. Dr. Peter Vajkoczy has contributed significantly to scientific research with numerous articles based on neurological procedures; • Actively participating in international conferences, he continually updates his findings in the field of neurosurgery; • His publications grace the leading journals of neurosurgery, showcasing his impactful contributions to the discipline.
