Dr. Viviana Onofrei is a leading Romanian cardiologist at Elytis Hospital, Iasi, and a respected academic at the “Grigore T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy. A graduate of the same university (class of 1991), she has more than 30 years of experience in cardiology and internal medicine. She holds a PhD in medical sciences, with her research focusing on endothelial dysfunction in hypertension. In addition to her clinical duties, Dr. Onofrei has been actively involved in medical education and training since 1996 and currently serves as a university lecturer. Her continuous work in both patient care and teaching has made her one of the most respected and popular heart specialists in Romania. She also holds a master’s degree in Clinical Nutrition and certifications in General Echocardiography and Ultrasonography.
