Dr. Luís Camacho Castro, an esteemed orthopedic specialist with 28 years of experience, is a key figure at Clinica Rotger Quirónsalud in Mallorca, Spain. Graduating from the University of Granada in 1984, he pursued his specialization and obtained his PhD in Orthopedics & Traumatology from the same institution in 1994. Dr. Luís is a dedicated professional, continually enhancing his expertise, evident in his recertification in orthopedics & traumatology in 2018. Throughout his illustrious career, Dr. Luís has played pivotal roles in various medical institutions. Initially coordinating the arthroscopy unit at San Juan de Dios Hospital, he later contributed significantly to the joint reconstruction unit at Sant Joan de Deu Hospital. His dedication led him to the USA for advanced training and internships in a renowned traumatology institute. Joining Son Llàtzer Hospital, he served as a senior orthopedic surgeon, eventually becoming the chief orthopedic surgeon, and later transitioned to the traumatology unit at Clinica Rotger in 2004. Dr. Luís Camacho is recognized for his expertise in joint reconstruction and has performed numerous successful laparoscopic surgeries for knee injuries. As the Chief Orthopedic Surgeon at Clinica Rotger since 2017, Dr. Luís continues to contribute significantly to advancements in orthopedics. A published author with 92 research articles on hip prostheses, his work is internationally acknowledged. Dr. Luís Camacho is a permanent member of the Spanish Traumatology Society, actively engaged in various medical associations, reflecting his commitment to advancing orthopedic care.
