Dr. Athanasios Alexopoulos is a highly experienced medical oncologist with more than 30 years of clinical experience in diagnosing and treating complex cancer conditions. He is currently affiliated with HYGEIA Hospital in Athens, one of the most advanced private healthcare institutions in Greece, where he provides comprehensive oncology consultations and personalized cancer treatment planning.

Dr. Alexopoulos completed his medical degree at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens Medical School, one of the most prestigious academic institutions in Greece. After graduating, he continued his professional development through specialized training in internal medicine and clinical oncology, gaining expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of cancers.

Early in his career, Dr. Alexopoulos gained valuable international experience in the United Kingdom, where he worked at the Liver Unit of King’s College Hospital in London, focusing on the management of complex liver diseases and hepatobiliary cancers.
